LASIK Eye Surgery & PRK
For those of us who weren’t fortunate enough to be born with “good” eyesight, modern medicine and technology can give us a second chance. And for many people, especially those with very poor natural vision, refractive eye surgeries can offer an opportunity to leave behind visual handicaps and live life on a whole new level.
As one LASIK patient told us via email, “I would have to say that it was a miracle second only to the birth of my children. It was a dream come true that I never thought I would realize since I had been so severely nearsighted since childhood. It gives me tremendous freedom and joy every day.”
LASIK and Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) have become so common that most people need only look to their family and friends for personal testimonies. In fact, even the United States Air Force approves of LASIK and PRK for its aviators.
